Austin Kesar brings nearly 10 years utility industry experience, including significant experience in economic, regulatory, and policy analyses to support strategic programs related to smart grid solutions for the utility industry as well as data analytics. He provides analytical financial consulting for utility clients undertaking strategic planning for enterprise initiatives, with a focus on many of the smart technologies and advanced applications that comprise the Smart Grid solution set, particularly smart metering and AMI solutions and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). His expertise includes mapping current and future state business processes, defining technical requirements to create requests for proposals, and working effectively and influencing others to move toward a common vision or goal. Prior to joining Excergy in 2018, Austin supported AMI, MDMS, and analytics strategy, procurement, and implementation efforts for several East Coast utilities, while employed with Black & Veatch and PA Consulting. He holds a Master of Public Policy (Energy Policy) from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Wake Forest University.
